Zagreb is the capital and economic and social center of the Republic of Croatia. It is located at the foot of the southern slopes of Medvednica at a height of 122 m above the sea. Zagreb stretches along the northern and southern banks of the Sava River. Administratively, it includes the city districts of Brezovica, Donji grad, Gornji grad – Medveščak, Trnje, Maksimir, Peščenica – Žitnjak, Novi Zagreb – Istok, Novi Zagreb – Zapad, Trešnjevka – Sjever, Trešnjevka – Jug, Črnomerec, Gornja Dubrava, Donja Dubrava, Stenjevec, Podsused – Vrapče, Podsljeme and Sesvete.
Zagreb developed on the foundations of the Upper and Lower Towns (Gornji grad and Donji Grad). The Upper Town represents the historical core of the city founded in the Middle Ages, characterized by old architecture and cultural monuments, while the Lower Town as the urban center of modern Zagreb developed during the 19th century. Zagreb is a typical Central European capital, characterized by many architectural monuments and rectangular Austro-Hungarian style blocks of flats. Residential complexes are permeated with wide avenues, streets and city squares and green areas. With its area, Zagreb covers several artificial lakes surrounded by landscaped parks, such as Jarun, Bundek and Maksimir.
Zagreb is an important traffic hub. It is located at the crossroads of traffic routes that connect Western and Central Europe with the Eastern and Southern parts of the European continent. The area of Zagreb and its surroundings is well connected to coastal Croatia, only 200 km from the sea coast, the port of Rijeka and tourist destinations on the Adriatic. Zagreb and its surroundings are traditionally densely populated and economically advanced. The entire area of Zagreb and its surroundings is continuously developing spatially and infrastructurally. All of the above greatly contributes to the increase in the number and quality of real estate in Zagreb and its neighborhoods and places around Zagreb.
For you, we are continuously working on increasing the selection of real estate, houses, apartments and land for sale in Zagreb and its surroundings. Below is a gallery of currently available properties for sale in Zagreb.
